Warning: Explicit Lyrics
This is a video for Allen Iverson’s rap single, “40 Bars”. It is not the music video, but instead some highlights of him playing basketball. This was quite controversial when it first came out because it is very explicit in nature and deals with a lot of themes that are frowned upon in mainstream society, specifically gun violence. There was talk of suspending Iverson when the single was released, but nothing came of it. This is yet another example of the hip hop culture that is so firmly engrained in the NBA today.
